Style
Rather than by grape variety or by country, we choose to categorize our wines by style from Light Crisp White wines to Rich Full-bodied Red wines.  These are easily recogizable styles that you are probably already familiar with. And when a Chardonnay can be so different, from a minerally, crisp, Burgundian to a heavy, oaky, buttery Californian, I believe using style works better for most drinkers. We are not alone in our beliefs.  Wine writer and author Fiona Beckett has published a book on this subject "Wine by Style" and other writers have made similar views known in their columns down the years. We are indebted to them all.

Wine Flavor Profile
To provide as much information as possible in a concise and friendly format, we also provide a flavor profile for each wine (see below).  Up to 4 major characteristics of a wine are displayed in order of importance for the particular wine. Our profile is restricted to the following flavors:

	Dark Fruit		Apple/Pear		Citrus		Oak		Mineral		Spice
	Dried Fruit		Tropical Fruit		Floral		Nut		Herbal		Earth
