French Rosé...

2006 is a fine vintage for southern French roses, richer than usual, well balanced and suitable for a wider than usual range of foods.

Many of you tasted or bought our rosés last year. To take advantage of the Grange presell this year, please exercise your tasting memories and click here to print a sell sheet and Fax order form or call your United salesperson.

The Lineup
This year we have added a very classy Pic Saint Loup to three of our trusted favorites.

Bargemone (Provence)

Classic underripe strawberry aromas. A touch drier and lighter in color than usual. Dense, with very ripe strawberry flavors and a mouthfilling finish. Note the redesigned label.

2005 was 88 Points in The Wine Advocate - “fresh, fragrant aromas of framboise and salty sea breezes”

Chateau du Donjon (Minervois)

Dry, dense red cherry aroma with an intriguing herbal hint. Fairly full bodied and soft, hints of very ripe English strawberries. Almost fat. Long finish with refreshing acidity. Perfect for dense-fleshed seafood or poultry.

Domaine Massamier (Languedoc)

Light, brilliant color to match a lively wine.

Redcurrant and strawberry nose, seductive strawberry and red cherry flavors. Good glycerine and mouth feel with a very lively finish.

Plus the perfect rose packaging.

  Lancyre (Pic Saint Loup)
One of the Languedoc’s best estates brings us a lovely pale pink colored wine with red cherry and a hint of ripe peaches in the aromatics.
A little spicier than usual.  A rich mouth feel with piquant cherry fruit and a touch of wild strawberry.
